Gamos has contributed to an external review and evaluation of telecentre.org and its programmes. The review provides an opportunity to learn from the experience of the current telecentre.org activities specifically to use the findings for: Informing future program direction; Improving operational and management strategies and; Developing a set of recommendations for IDRC that can be used in future management of a large multi-donor partnership programmes, especially those involving the private sector.

 
Survey Analysis Reveals Nature and Extent of Corruption in Cambodia, Peru and Zambia

Corruption, especially when associated with governance can present a huge barrier to Development. Gamos has contributed to a broad study of the nature and impact of corruption having been engaged by Tearfund to perform expert analysis upon data gathered through surveys in Cambodia, Peru and Zambia. The findings highlight the differences in the ways corruption manifests itself in different countries.

 
Gamos Contributes to Expert Consultation Concerning e-Agriculture Framworks

In early 2010 Gamos was invited to by the FAO and IICD to contribute to a series of meeting and the subsequent development of new conceptual frameworks and guidelines to assist those seeking to exploit the many benefits of ICTs for agricultural development.

 
Community TeleCentres for Urban Youth

The community telecentres are used in many situations as tools to facilitate community learning, technology transfer and to tackle poverty on the ground. Gamos, in partnership with Big World (www.big-world.org) and commissioned by DIFD helped to start and support two such telecentres with the objective of evaluating a distinctive new content-led approach.

 
Digital Bridges for Vocational and Education Training

This project, funded by DFID and undertaken by Big World in collaboration with Gamos Ltd., aimed to assess the value of multimedia and Internet based resource creation and collaboration in extending the ability of training centres to train effectively. The focus was on centres responding to the needs of the poor; delivering training which improves employment opportunities and therefore the livelihoods of trainees and their communities.
